SCHOOL YEAR THEME ARTWORK

Every spring, a new theme is picked for the upcoming school year. This is one of my favorite creative challenges. I’m typically given a Bible verse and a theme that comes from that verse, and have to develop artwork from that. This artwork is used in a variety of ways throughout the school year. It is placed on backpack tags for an end of summer celebration, posters are hung outside of each classroom, the design is used on t-shirts and other spirit wear, and it’s used as slides for different chapels and sermons.The artwork has to translate well into so many different mediums, and be fun for the school but also not too childlike as it’s used for church events as well.
