COLUMBARIUM
I love the variety of projects that I get to work on, but this one was unexpected to say the least. Hales Corners Lutheran built a Columbarium and Memorial Garden, a project that was led by a team of very dedicated and determined volunteers. This was a very special project to them for many reasons, and one that was partially funded by members of the congregation purchasing niches in advance. I was tasked with creating the materials necessary to promote the Columbarium in as many was as possible. This was a print-heavy project, and while it did involve a web page and some slides, there were more print and display pieces involved.

There were a number of slides and advertisements created for this project. The first ones we only had the architect’s renderings, so these were used to promote the Columbarium from the start. Once it was complete and the look and feel had been finalized, we move towards alternate messaging, advertising that niches were still available for purchase and that the Columbarium and Memorial Garden were at least partially complete. There were multiple phases of this project, completed as weather, budget, staffing, and material availability would allow.
The three main print pieces for this project included a trifold brochure, an information card, and a standing banner to use for a display. The brochure went through a few different versions, one during the first phase of the project and one at the completion of the project. The purpose of the card was to make the information easy to digest, and less content heavy than the trifold. They were designed to work together but also could be used separately.
